Inhabitants of a mining town in the north of France rally together in order to help one of their residents enter the Fine Arts university in Paris. This film is constructed through the direct participation of the residents of this town. It is with this community, with each member becoming an actor, a writer or a decorator for the occasion, that the story was born. A working participation of these residents within their own environment is the basis of the story, giving to the artistic act the notion of a strong commitment, while staying relevant to the social context. There are mixed social phenomena, folklore and individual utopias.
